PTSD is a mental condition which occurs after a person undergoes a traumatic experience. We all react in different methods to trauma, experiencing a broad selection of physical and psychological reactions. There is no “correct” or “incorrect” method to think, feel, or react, so don’t judge the reactions of other people or your own personal reactions. The way you react to ABNORMAL events is considered as NORMAL. Here are some of the symptoms which point towards the existence of PTSD.
Mental & psychological symptoms of PTSD:
Grieving is normal following injury
Whether or not a traumatic event involves expiry of loved ones, survivors must cope together with the loss, at least briefly, of their sense of safety. The natural reaction to this loss is despair. Like people who've lost a loved one, trauma survivors go through a grieving process. On your road to PTSD recovery, you will find grieving helpful. Along with using PTSD workbooks, you need to take good care of yourself and turn to others for support.
